PERSONAL PROJECT

2018 - 2020

nameless

experimental portraits made in opposition to the standard of clean + crisp beauty.

I think a lot of reasons why I make art are answers to things that bother me. Why does a portrait have to be beautiful? Or pretty? Is it enough to capture a beautiful individual? Or can I massacre that idea and obfuscate beauty, leave smudges, rip, pull, tear?
